The opportunity

The NHMS is seeking senior leaders with deep experience across healthcare, business, technology and finance to help achieve its vision: empowering NHS hospitals to deliver better health outcomes at lower cost.

This is an opportunity to join a high-growth group at the foundational stage, helping to build a national group that consolidates the fragmented NHS supply chain.

The NHMS is appointing its inaugural Board of Advisors. It is looking for recognised industry leaders with specific expertise in four areas:

1. Healthcare M&A and private equity. A track record in buy-and-build strategies, deal structuring and raising capital in the healthcare sector.
2. NHS procurement and frameworks. Deep technical knowledge of NHS supply chain frameworks, tendering processes and compliance requirements.
3. NHS supplier leadership. Former or current chief executives of successful NHS hospital supplier businesses who understand the operational reality of serving the NHS.
4. Policy and government. Experience in UK politics or the Department of Health and Social Care, to guide alignment with national healthcare strategy.
